A synthetic heptapeptide based on the immune peptide tuftsin, studied in the context of anxiety and stress response.
What it is
Selank is a synthetic seven-amino-acid peptide derived from tuftsin, a naturally occurring immunomodulatory peptide fragment. Like Semax, it was developed in Russia and carries a stabilising sequence extension.
